Special and voluntary task: Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar "El Cid" (2º ESO)
Look for information about the myth of El Cid, created in large part by "El Cantar del Mío Cid" and compares the mythological figure of El Cid created by literature, with the historical figure based on real historical sources.

2º ESO. Special Task: Islam.
Research about one or two of the topics that you have below and show them to your classmates one day of this week with a presentation. Try to prepare a related activity for your classmates after the presentation. (oral questions, debate, quiz, etc.)
1. Look for a current map of the extension of the Islam in the world, compare it with a map of the Islamic Empire during its biggest expansion and highlight the most important differences. Try to research the reason for that differences.
2. Research about the possible causes of the international islamist terrorism. Two examples.
- World Trade Center Attack, New York, 2001. / Atocha attack, Madrid, 2004 /
3. Research about the religious differences between Chiies, Sunnies and Sufies. Search for a map that shows its geographical distribution and identify the countries with a majority of Chiies, what is their relationship with Saudi Arabia.
4. Look for the treatment of women in the Bible and also in the Coran. Later make a conclusion about how this treatment can have affected to women in Christian an Muslim territories along history.
